Battists and Montoya’s Catobase Tutorial

Open your Program Files\OOTP 6.5 folder in one window and the folder you created for your Catobase in another window. (in my case:  C\My　Documents\Fidel\\MyCatoBase\History). Copy your league file(the one with “.lg”) from the OOTP 6.5 folder and paste it into your Catobase folder.

Close your Program Files\OOTP 6.5 folder. The copied league file you did in figure 10, we’ll call your “backup league file”. Open this backup league file. Then open the LEAGUE_NEWS_BOX folder.

Rename the “ltrans.txt” file to “ltrans2.txt”. Then rename the “lalltrans.txt” file to “ltrans.txt”. (Step courtesy of Sandman)

Click START/ALL PROGRAMS and find Catobase. Start the program.

As Catobase starts up, make sure it says “Version 6.1.4”. If not, go back to Figure 2, 3 & 4.

After Catobase is loaded, Click File/New.

In the dialog box that opens, Browse for one of the two folders that you created for your league’s Catobase(in figure 6). This is the one that’s named the same as your league. Open it here. It should be empty. Type the name of your league again. In my case “History1”. Click Save.
